Although the weather has been teasing us that spring is already here, spring truly is just around the corner! So we are already planning for our annual Spring Slam Volleyball Tournament that is scheduled to happen on Friday April 24^th.

This tournament is always an exciting event for the ministry at the CSC. It is an outreach event that is perfect for building relationships with new people. We are planning to have 16 teams formed this year, 10 by CSC students and 6 from the recruitment table we will set up on campus. Teams will have 6-8 players each with no more than 2 CSC students per team.

This year for entertainment, we have invitations out to Asper Kourt, Dominic Pettine, and M88. Asper Kourt is scheduled to play at our benefit softball tournament in May as well. Asper Kourt and Dominic have a Jack Johnson, The Fray kind of feel to their music. They both do an incredible job and it is refreshing to have good and positive music. In fact you can now find Asper Kourt on Itunes so check them out. We also feed the participants very well. This year we will have pulled pork (smoked low and slow of course) sandwiches with sides and desserts. Oh man, I just drooled in my keyboard!

Also the invitation is on the table for any tournament sponsors. If your church, business, group of friends, or just you want to help in anyway please let us know. Sponsors can provide prizes, food, service or whatever their creative minds can come up with. Or just come down and join us in this great time we will share in the Lord! Stay tuned for updates.
